2024 WLMA Book Club
The IMAA WLMA (Women Leaders in Mining & Aggregates) Book Club meets three times online over a number of weeks, and then a fourth and final session is in-person for face-to-face networking. The sessions include guided discussions and deep dives to enhance individual development. The final discussion is also a celebration for taking another step in our personal and professional development.
For the most recent Book Club session, we had 15 participants. The book we covered was “What it Takes to Shatter Glass: Embrace Your Power and Create the Future You Want in Your Career, Life and Relationships,” by local author Jessica Gendron.
During the last, face-to-face session, on June 18, the author came to speak as the group shared final thoughts on the last chapters of the book. Following the final Book Club session, the group went to Indy Fused Glass for networking.
The next WLMA Book Club book will be “Embrace the Imbalance,” by another local author and friend of the association Tina McIntosh. Book club dates will be October 9, October 30, November 20, and December 11.
