Call for Hands-On Demonstration Proposals: IMAA 2026 Operations Seminar

The IMAA Plant Operators Committee is preparing for the 2026 Operations Seminar. This comprehensive full-day workshop focuses on aggregates mining operations maintenance for plant operators. We would like to invite our Associate Member companies to participate as a presenting vendors. To accomplish this, we are requesting presentation proposals for our Plant Operators Committee to review and select 12 varied hands-on demonstrations.

Workshop Overview

Event Format: Rotating station-based workshop
Target Audience: Aggregate plant operators and maintenance personnel, plant managers and foremen, area and regional supervisors
Expected Attendance:  Up to 70 participants
Date: February 2, 2026
Location: JW Marriott Indianapolis, IN as part of the annual IMAA Winter Workshops & Trade Show
Duration: 6 hours for station rotations

Presentation Opportunity Details

Station Format:

  • 25-30 minute hands-on demonstrations per session
  • Multiple rotation cycles throughout the day
  • Interactive, practical learning focus
  • Small group format (5 to 6 participants per group; optimal learning environment)

Ideal Demonstration Topics:

  • Equipment maintenance procedures
  • Troubleshooting techniques
  • Preventive maintenance best practices
  • Safety protocols and procedures
  • New technology applications
  • Cost-saving maintenance strategies
  • Operational efficiency improvements

What We’re Looking For

We seek industry experts who can deliver:

  • Practical, hands-on demonstrations relevant to plant operators
  • Interactive presentations with real equipment, tools, or working models. This may also include mock scenarios.
  • Actionable knowledge participants can immediately apply
  • Professional expertise in aggregates operations maintenance
  • NO SALES PRESENTATIONS

Proposal Requirements

Please provide the following information by September 15th:

  1. Proposed demonstration topic and detailed description
  2. Learning objectives for participants
  3. Equipment/materials you will bring for hands-on activities
  4. Space and setup requirements (electrical, tables, etc.)
  5. Presenter credentials and relevant experience
  6. Company background and relevant products/services

The format of this workshop would require your company to volunteer one or more individuals to make the demonstration up to 12 times throughout the 6 hour time frame for each new group of attendees. You are more than welcome to rotate presenters in and out for the demonstrations. Please submit proposals via email to katie@indmaa.org.

  • Details for a coordination meeting with the Plant Operators Committee
  • Draft schedule and initial logistics
