IMAA Award Nomination Deadline Extended!
IMAA is extending the nomination deadline for awards to December 20, 2019! The awards will be presented at the 2020 Winter Workshops during the Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, January 28th at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Does someone you know deserve some recognition for being outstanding? Nominate them for an IMAA Award!
Individual Awards accepting nominations
The following awards are for individuals in the aggregates industry:
Miner of the Year Award
The Miner of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding contributions to the aggregates industry by an individual. As a respected leader in the industry, this individual’s distinguished achievements in the industry in Indiana and the Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association deserve special recognition. Individuals nominated for this award exemplify the very best in their profession and continually bring credit to the industry and to their entire community. These individuals contribute significantly to the aggregates industry by providing a safe working environment, being innovative and solving problems, demonstrating a concern for the environment, and contributing to the betterment of their community through civic and community affairs activities.
Miner of the Year NOMINATION FORM
Trucker of the Year Award
The Trucker of the Year Award recognizes outstanding service to the aggregates industry by a driver for an aggregate trucking company. As a respected and responsible leader in the trucking industry, this individual’s achievements in customer service, driving safety, vehicle maintenance and community involvement deserve special recognition. Truckers nominated for this award exemplify the very best in their profession.
Trucker of the Year NOMINATION FORM
IMAA Valor Award
The IMAA Valor Award was established by the Safety Committee and the PIE Committee to recognize individuals who have displayed personal heroism either at work or in their personal lives. The Award has two categories:
- Medal of Valor
Eligible candidates are active or inactive employees of any mining, quarrying, and mineral industries or of an Associate member company. - Certificate of Valor
Eligible candidates are immediate family members of active or inactive employees of any mining, quarrying, and mineral industries or of an Associate member company.

Associate Company of the Year Award
The Associate Company of the Year awards an IMAA Associate member company for their involvement in the association and dedication in promoting the Indiana aggregates industry in their communities. Award recipients demonstrate that their company values safety, environmental stewardship, aggregates industry involvement, employee relations, and community involvement.
Associate Company Of The Year Award ENTRY FORM
Transportation Company of the Year Award
The Transportation Company of the Year Award recognizes outstanding service to the aggregates industry by a transportation company. As a respected and responsible leader in the transportation industry, this company’s achievements in serving the aggregates industry in Indiana deserve special recognition. Companies nominated for this award exemplify the very best in their profession.
