IMAA is currently accepting applications for the Program Services Coordinator position. Current Program Services Coordinator, Ron Bucci, will be retiring from this position at the end of the year. However, Ron will still be actively involved in IMAA’s Safety Training Program.

Position: Program Services Coordinator

Reports to: IMAA Executive Director

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana area

IMAA Organizational Purpose:
The IMAA was organized in 1934 to promote and protect the interests of the aggregate operators located or doing business in Indiana.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
The Program Services Coordinator manages the association’s Environmental Stewardship Council (ESC) program and serves as the ESC site review coordinator.  In this role, the Program Services Coordinator:

  • maintains ESC records and maps
  • conducts annual member site inspections
  • attends ESC and environmental related meetings
  • acts as liaison between the IMAA membership and the IMAA Environmental Committee
  • monitors environmental regulatory requirements relating to the membership
  • assists IMAA members with staying in compliance with the ESC program requirements.

Additionally, the Program Services Coordinator manages the IMAA Safety Training program, and serves the IMAA Public Information and Education (PIE) Committee by evaluating Excellence in Mining Award applications and assisting on other outreach projects. This role also assists IMAA staff with other projects as required.

This is a part-time position working approximately 3 days per week with extensive travel around the state of Indiana, including occasional overnight stays.  The ideal candidate has a basic knowledge of mineral aggregate quarry operations in Indiana, enjoys field work, has basic knowledge of Mine Safety and Health requirements, and has excellent communication skills.
