IMAA Presidents Award Goes to Two Highly Involved Individuals

IMAA Staff | 02/26/20

Each year the Association undertakes numerous projects and activities for the benefit of its member companies. Staff and volunteers from the membership conduct these projects and activities.  I am proud to present this year’s President’s Award to two individuals whose leadership have been invaluable resources to the Association.

The 2019 President’s Distinguished Service Award winners are Bob Lingerfelt of Mulzer Crushed Stone and Laurie Webb of US Aggregates.

Both Bob and Laurie are finishing their terms as IMAA Committee Chairs.  Bob has led the Technical Committee for the past three years, going above and beyond what is expected of the chair position.  He has been a long-time contributor and supporter of the CAPP program.  He is a major advocate of industry issues to INDOT for the Association, voicing both the Technical Committee’s concerns and support.

Laurie jumped into her duties as Environmental Committee Chair with enthusiasm after being selected Chair after only one meeting.  Her leadership has seen the Environmental Committee grow over the past three years.  She was not afraid to try new things, including taking the Committee on educational tours of different facilities.  She has worked tirelessly on both National environmental issues, and local Indiana ones such as 401/404 permitting.  Laurie also readily volunteered to help the WLMA Committee, and was featured on IMAA’s Regional Women’s Leadership panels in 2017.

Thank you to both Bob and Laurie for your enthusiastic support of the Association.
