Jeffrey Dale Scott, 62, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at his home with his wife by his side on August 24, 2020.

He was born on August 27, 1957 to James Edward and Shirley Marie (neé Johnson) Scott in Bloomington, Indiana. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1975. He began his career with the Rogers Group Inc. shortly after graduation and was a loyal employee of 45 years. He excelled at his work, ultimately achieving the position of Director of Strategic Sourcing.

He was known by all as a kind-hearted, generous soul. He was a gentle and humble man who loved his family dearly. As an involved member of the community, he passionately supported IU Football and was a committed member of the Freemasons. His greatest joys were golfing with his dear friends, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Janet (neé Vaupel); his mother, Shirley Marie Scott; three brothers, Dennis (Linda), David (Karen), and Jimmy; three step-children, Amy (Jimmy), Jennifer (Casey), and Chad; four step-grandchildren, Abby, Karson, Avery, and Logan; three nieces and nephews, Amanda (Dave), Corey (Jenifer), and Matthew (Heather); and his two dogs, Bella & Bogie.

Visitation is to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home 203 E Temperance Street, Ellettsville, Indiana. Funeral services to immediately follow at 3:00 PM.
