Nathan Wanstrath Receives 2020 Keystone Award
IMAA started awarding the Keystone Award in 1998. By definition the keystone is the topmost stone of an arch, popularly thought of as “especially holding the others in place.” This year, IMAA recognizes another person for his impact on the Indiana aggregate industry. IMAA congratulates Nathan Wanstrath of New Point Stone Company for receiving the 2020 Keystone Award.
Nathan grew-up in the industry and developed the necessary skills to be classified as a leader in the industry. He has served the association in many capacities, including chairman of the IMAA Safety Committee. He served as a Director on the IMAA Board, then worked his way through the Executive Committee positions until serving as Board President in 2019. His willingness to participate in IMAA activities have not gone unrecognized. He represented the Association and the industry on the Build Indiana Council board and traveled to Washington D.C. to participate with the Indiana delegation on Capitol Hill, oftentimes bringing his family to learn about the legislative process. Nathan most recently serves on the IMMEP Board which awards scholarships to students interested in joining the industry.
IMAA Executive Director Calvin Lee said, “Nathan Wanstrath is well deserving of this award, and I take great pleasure in presenting this award to him..”
“I am honored and humbled to be your 2020 Keystone award winner,” Nathan said during his video acceptance speech at the 2021 Winter Workshops Online. “I’ve enjoyed working with many of you over the years and look forward to when we can meet in person again after the pandemic.”
