Safety Training Classes
IMAA offers our members and their on-site contractors Safety Training through our MSHA certified instructors. Monthly Annual Refresher classes are held at the IMAA office (if space permits). IMAA also periodically schedules the 3-day New Miner class at the IMAA office (if space permits).
For your employees to participate in the IMAA Safety Training, please add Ron Bucci to your training plan. You can find the scheduled IMAA Safety Training classes on the calendar and register for the classes online.
New Miner Classes-$125 per person per day for Members (non-members $175)
A 24-hour Surface New Miner class will satisfy the requirements of Part 46 or part 48 (B)-Surface. Producer Members may consider having employees attend just the first 2 days if they anticipate applying the requisite on-site “mine tour” to the 24-hour requirement. For Contractors / Associate Members interested in the 24-hour class, employees will need to attend all 3 days of training.
Additional Information
New Miner and Annual Refresher Classes have a minimum of 3 participants and a maximum of 14 participants. Classes may be moved to a different facility depending on the number attending. Participants will be notified of the change in location.
