Spending the Weekend in South Bend for the APAI+IMAA Summer Meeting
In the middle of July, IMAA and APAI spent the weekend at Notre Dame in South Bend. This was the first Summer Meeting with APAI since 2018, and members of both associations and their families came together for a weekend of networking, learning and unique South Bend experiences. During the educational portion, attendees learned about the strategies for building successful mindsets from Dr. Amber Selking, the processes behind Environmental Product Declarations from Chait Bhat of the Asphalt Institute, and how to support a successful safety culture from Matt Bunner of Mulzer Crushed Stone. Although the rain moved in for the rooftop bash on the first night, the party featuring Music Bingo was just as fun inside. The highlight of the meeting was the Dueling Piano Band at Notre Dame stadium in Folley’s and overlooking the historic “House that Rockne Built.” As always, the Summer Meeting would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors.
